Description

The book end "Gun" was the first of them all.

In 2011, it was while browsing the boutiques and the Maison&Objets show that the designer Yvon LUNEAU noticed that the offer of bookends was not great. Yet this object, in addition to being practical, can be very decorative. So, he decided to create some, and it was the theme of the detective novel that inspired him.

For his first attempt, Shohan-Design had to offer an expressive bookend to impose himself to wedge the novels on the shelves, like a robber in a bank. And for a hold-up, you need a weapon! But rather than a big 44 magnum, a smaller, more subtle, more feminine revolver was chosen?

Gun was a success. This book hold was even published alongside Philippe Stark's Gun lamp in the special thriller issue of Beaux-Arts Magazine in August 2013. He is at the origin of all the collection of objects inspired by the detective novel. A collection that appeals a lot to thriller lovers, including the pairs of Film Noir and Holmes bookends.

This decorative accessory is made of laser-cut and painted steel. Solid, it will effectively store a shelf of books in a bookcase.
