A duo of expressive silhouettes for an elegant decoration inspired by vintage detective novels.
The femme fatale and the private detective: icons of film noir and so-called Hard-boiled detective literature.
A silhouette in the darkness of a street, a car passing slowly, a hard face that is drawn in a ray of light, the smoke of a cigarette... You also need a private detective with a soft spot for whiskey and a dangerous seductress. You have here the essential ingredients of a film noir such as The Lady of Shanghai, Gilda, The Maltese Falcon, etc.
This style, this atmosphere has inspired many creatives. This is the case of the designer of Shohan-design. He started with his femme fatale: Bourgeoise, an elegant and dangerous Parisian. She was born in 2014 from a sketchbook and a women's magazine in a doctor's waiting room. The private, drawn in 2020, is a tribute to Alain Delon playing an impressive Jeff Costello in The Samurai.

From these two characters, he first made a pair of bookends. He then declined them to make a couple of very expressive silhouettes for a contemporary decoration style Comic strip cinema.
