Shohan-Design welcomes you to the Open House Workshops in Malakoff

In Malakoff, we don't have monuments but we do have workshops!

Malakoff is the village-like suburb at the southern gates of the capital. From a tourist point of view, Malakoff has the characteristics of having a Russian name (is it really the time?) and of being the last commune of the red belt to have communists on the municipal council. Otherwise, there's an old street lamp...

As the city and its inhabitants have no monuments to show; They show what they do on a cultural and social level, especially in the workshops.

So, the association Créé à Malakoff et la ville de Malakoff invite you to discover their places of creation.

Painters, sculptors, ceramists, glass makers, seamstresses and designers

So, on March 23 and 24, come and visit the workshops of Malakoff's creators. 42 are open to the public. There is a great diversity of professions, styles and personalities. Some have even chosen to present the work of guests in addition. I don't even know them all!

On a map of the city to download here, the exhibition venues are indicated by a number to help you find your way around.

My partial and partial selection of artists and creators to meet:

I have a tropism for glass, ceramics, street art and design. In Malakoff, there is something to see!

For glass, I recommend the impressive glass paste sculptures by Valérie Fanchini (17) and the jewels by Suzuki Michi(40). When it comes to ceramics, you're spoilt for choice! I really like some of Johanna Saadé (37) for their design.

In design, I'd like to have the time to go and see the work of Amélie Demay at La Crèche (23).

In street-art, we have Toctoc, le Toctoc who makes funny little men, and Raphaël Etievant, at La Crèche (23) who shares a passion with me for the aquatic environment.

In painting, come and see my neighbors and/or roommates, Louise Dutertre and Plume Battisti.

La Tréso, Malakoff's creative emulation FabLab.

If there's one place to visit in Malakoff, it's the Tréso (25). The food is good and the food is well created. In addition to the FabLab part, there are several workshops that host artists and craftsmen to discover. My girlfriend Laure Soudan-Quintin will be exhibiting her jewelry. You can even end the evening with a DJ set until midnight.

Shohan-design (28) also welcomes you to its lair!

27 rue Voltaire, in a mezzanine at the bottom of a block of flats, come and visit the studio I share with the painter Plume Battisti. I will welcome you to my "cave". We will be able to discuss design, laser cutting, influences, design process, projects, things and more. And if you don't feel like chatting, just come out of curiosity, to see.
