More than a lamp: a giant boiled egg to light up your evenings.
Originally, the Z-Eggs lamps were created in glass for a Parisian crêperie. With a bulb as an egg yolk, it's pretty and original. It is even very elegant and contemporary as a large chandelier in a living room.
A beautiful and fun light at an affordable price for everyone.
The models created in blown glass are cold machined by hand. Cutouts are difficult to make. This involves a significant manufacturing cost for a small lamp. Although satisfied with the result, the designer of Shohan-design also wanted to make this rather humorous object a lamp at a low price. So he had to find another solution.
Of natural origin, solid, light and of good size: the ostrich egg.
We often tend to make things more complicated than simple. Plastic, resin, concrete… He searched long enough before deciding to make a luminous egg why not take a real one!
Cut, cleaned by hand in the workshop.
The eggs used come from ostrich farms located in France. Of natural origin, they come in different sizes and textures. The artisanal cutting carried out in our workshop in Malakoff (92) further accentuates their unique appearance.
